Flight from Detroit to Frankfurt was full. Plane arrived in Frankfurt on time; around 8 am. The train station was adjacent to the airport. I am on the 8:38 am train heading toward Metz (where the bike touring starts). I did not realize that Metz was in France until I made the arrangements for the train ticket.
Got to Metz around 1 pm and walked a few block to the hotel. By biking companions, Betty & Ty, had arrived earlier in the day and we quickly renewed our friendships. We explored Metz on foot & then had dinner around 7 pm.
